Label-Aware ITDR explainer

Label-Aware ITDR (Identity Threat Detection and Response) enhances traditional identity security by incorporating data sensitivity and classification into threat detection and response processes. Instead of treating all identities and actions equally, it prioritizes risks based on the value and sensitivity of the data being accessed.
By leveraging labels such as “Confidential,” “Restricted,” or “Public,” the system gains deeper context into user behavior and access patterns. This allows security teams to detect high-risk activities—such as unusual access to sensitive data—more accurately and respond faster.
Key capabilities include:
Context-Aware Detection – Identify threats based on data sensitivity, not just behavior
Dynamic Risk Scoring – Prioritize alerts involving high-value or regulated data
Granular Access Controls – Enforce stricter policies for sensitive information
Real-Time Monitoring – Continuously track identity activity across systems
Automated Response – Trigger actions like session termination or step-up authentication
Compliance Alignment – Support regulatory requirements through data-aware controls
